Blackburn AFC have confirmed the signing of experienced defender Stuart Yeats from Division 1 club JSXI AFC.
The 33-year-old underwent a medical and agreed personal terms with the Division 2 promotion chasers on Wednesday after they were made aware of his intention to move clubs for more game time.
The Right Time to Return
“I never thought I would be back and able to play in this team and I’m really happy about it. I’m looking forward to it.”
It is understood Johannes Jaka has been impressed by how the club’s sporting director, and football operations team secured Yeats’ signing, in terms of good relationship with the player.
“This is fabulous news – a wonderful signing. We are really, really happy about this,” Jaka added.”Stuart is a very clever player, he finds space between the lines. He is brave with the ball but also brave without the ball – a proper team player. He makes the best of himself for the benefit of others.
‘Yeats gives Blackburn more counter attacking quality’
“It made sense to make the move and accelerate their interest given he was being chased by a number of clubs. Continental AFC were also being linked with a move as well, but Blackburn were first to complete a deal and bring him back to Kinellar Park.”
