Blackburn travelled to Beach Park, Balmedie in what was to be a tough game for both sides. Blackburn are well in need of another three points to keep their promotion charge alive while Middlefield Wasps are looking to climb the table afloat of the bottom half.
Right from the get go Blackburn made use of the very wide pitch in which both TURNER and HARPER were having joy on. It was clear to see that if any goals were going to come from this game it would be supplied by either two. Numerous chances came and went for Blackburn however it was MILNE who struck first. It was vital that Blackburn avoided dropping points as this would massively effect they’re promotion charge. Multiple balls in behind were played from MERCER, STEWART and JOHNSTON however an offside was given each time. Deep into the second half Blackburn continued to press for the winner and it was the bravery of ROSS that gave Blackburn the lead who was hurt while challenging for the ball. 3-2 Blackburn.
Throughout the game Blackburn looked comfortable at the back with only a couple of errors present during the game. Middlefield Wasps floated a ball deep into the Blackburn box where for the third time this afternoon a failed clearance lead to an equaliser for Middlefield. 3-3.
Overall Blackburn will be disappointed with the full time result however a crucial point has been gained against a good compact side.
